Awake Media was contracted by MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) to develop the brand, web and print materials for the Psychedelic Science 2013 conference held in Oakland, CA. MAPS mission is to broaden the public understanding of psychedelics in social, cultural and medical contexts. The big idea for the Psychedelic Science 2013 conference graphics is the idea of ‘Mind’ being something that holds the contents of our collective psyche, and it is both a map and a mystery. Sections of the collaged word ‘Mind’ were used in various promotional elements, like posters, ads, bookmarks, web site etc.. Each is a piece of the puzzle and were you to array all the pieces together you would have the word Mind, brimming with imagery from the collective psyche. Also reminiscent of the story about 5 blind men trying to describe an elephant while only able to touch one part of it. VISIT SITE
Awake Media created the brand strategy, logo, web site, catalog, stationery, flyers, and internet marketing strategy for Synergetic Press’s relaunch of their online bookstore in 2013. It coincides with the publication of several important titles, including Mystic Chemist, the life of Albert Hofmann and his LSD, as well as ‘What Has Nature Ever Done For Us” by Tony Juniper.
